Henry Blooms Herb-a-lax compounded herbs is a gentle, yet effective natural laxative which also relieve wind. Created using a special formulation of senna leaf, buckthorn bark, psyllium seed, dill seed and liquorice root powder. Psyllium provides a great source of fibre and together with liquorice root powder has a gentle soothing action on the bowel. Dill seed has a carminative action on the bowel and helps reduce digestive discomfort.
Each serve contains 1.5 g (approx. 5 mL teaspoon) contains: Senna leaf dry 1.31 g eqv. Hydroxyamthracene glycoside as sennoside B 32.63 mg, Frangula bark dry(Buckthorn) 108 mg equiv. glucofrafrangulins (as glucoframgulin A) 7.35 mg, Psyllium husk 30 mg, Anethum graveolens (Dill) fruit 30 mg, Liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) root 30 mg
Adults: Take 1.5 g (approx. 5 mL teaspoon) with water or fruit juice before bedtime.
Children: On medical advice. Start with no more than half the adult dose, 750 mg (approx. half 5 ml teaspoon), increasing to adult dosage if necessary. Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended. Drink plenty of water.
