What it is

THE EAA | Essential Amino Acid & Electrolyte Powder is a sports nutrition product marketed to support everyday health and/or training goals. Because formulas can vary by flavour and batch, use the product label as your source of truth for ingredients, allergens, and serve size.

Who it may suit

  • Good fit: people training regularly, busy schedules, or anyone who wants convenience for meeting nutrition targets.
  • Be cautious: if you have kidney/liver disease, cardiovascular conditions, uncontrolled blood pressure, are pregnant/breastfeeding, or take prescription medicines—confirm suitability with your GP/pharmacist.

How to use it (practical approach)

  • Follow the label: start with the minimum suggested serve, especially if you’re sensitive to stimulants or sweeteners.
  • Don’t stack too much: introduce one new supplement at a time so you can tell what helps (or doesn’t).
  • Use it to fill gaps: the best use-case is when it helps you hit targets you’d otherwise miss (protein, hydration, micronutrients, etc.).

What to check before buying

  • Serving size & per-serve amounts: compare per serve and per 100 g (or per capsule) for fair comparisons.
  • Allergens: especially dairy, soy, gluten, and nuts, depending on the product.
  • Stimulants/sweeteners: relevant if you’re sensitive to caffeine or sugar alcohols.
  • Sport testing: if you compete, consider products with reputable third-party testing where available.

Realistic expectations

Most results come from consistent training, enough sleep, and an overall diet that matches your goal. Supplements can help with convenience and consistency, but they won’t replace basics like progressive strength training, daily movement, and adequate total energy intake.

Recommendations to improve outcomes

  • Match to your goal: fat loss (protein + fibre focus), muscle gain (adequate calories + progressive overload), performance (carbs + hydration + sleep).
  • Protein timing: spread protein across meals rather than relying on one large dinner.
  • Track something: weight, steps, lifts, or waist—small measurable changes keep progress honest.
  • Recovery basics: hydration, fruit/veg, and regular bedtimes often beat “more supplements”.

  1. Alisha

Mixes well, I add in with my creatine as the taste is a little sharp for me
    Goes Well With:
    Mixed berry creatine

  2. ben

I hope this product will be back in stock and not discontinued as you’ll be missing a gap in the market. This product is great for a morning hydration drink with a good balance of EEAs.

  3. Lloyd

I’ve bought a lot from my protein and loved everything so far but this one just tasted real rough. Really hard to stomach. Naturally it’s a personal preference so I’ve left it with a fairly middle of the road score. But next time I’ll try a different flavour lol.

  4. HOB

Flavour is great and the added electrolytes are useful. Would recommend.

  5. Jim

Bought the blood orange does not mix very well and tastes horrible. Will try some other flavours next time.

  6. Jim

I haven’t been taking this long enough to feel the benefits but taste wise it’s not bad at all. Mixes well without and lumps.

  7. Rutty

Needed to stuck up on eaa’s and thought I’d try this one from my protein as was already putting an order in for other bits.
Bought the blueberry and strawberry flavour and it does the job it supposed to but honestly considering binning it it tastes that bad, every sip I took I had to wash it down with water afterwards to get rid of the chemical taste.

  8. Mike

After reading the reviews on here I was expecting it to taste vile. Can only vouch for the apple and blackcurrant, but it’s not that bad. Not as good as the tropical EAA or the berry burst BCAA, but it’s not disgusting. First sip tastes weird, but you get used to it and I now find it quite nice.
As for effectiveness, 5 stars. Definitely better than EAA powder on its own, felt a boost during workouts and runs, and reduced DOMS the days after. Would recommend.

  9. KW

The lemon ice tea flavour tasted so bad – I’m normally good at pushing through bad tasting supplements but this one I had to spit out and throw away.

  10. Will

Blood orange does not taste good. Needs washing down after each mouthful
